Stepping out for a date night at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas this week, the spouses of nearly one year poked fun at the incessant pregnancy rumors that seem to surround Rimes, 29.

Posing with his Stella McCartney-clad wife on the red carpet, Eddie Cibrian, 38, playfully put his hand on his wife's belly, offering a knowing glance to the cameras. But the couple doesn't have any baby news to share just yet: Turns out Cibrian and Rimes were playing a slick April Fools Day joke at the show, which indeed took place on April 1.

Since marrying Cibrian -- already the father of two boys -- in April, Rimes has dodged pregnancy rumors, frequently taking to Twitter to dispel them.

"I have never even tried [to conceive a child]. Please stop discussing my ovaries," the country star begged two of her Twitter followers in January.[usmagazine.com]
