Matt Damon Opens Up About His Low-Key Family Life

Matt Damon Opens Up About His Low-Key Family Life
Matt Damon, star of the upcoming film "We Bought a Zoo," opens up about his low-key family life and how he avoids the media madness that plagues some of his famous pals in this Sunday's Parade.

On keeping his life private, especially compared to others in the spotlight:
Brad and Angie, there's much more pressure on them than there is on me. He [Pitt] asked me what my everyday is like. I said, "Well, I grab the kids from school, and then we go over to the park." And he was just looking at me, like, "How can you do that?" Because he can't.

On why he can keep a low profile:
I've been left alone, even by the paparazzi, because what sells is sex and scandal. Absent that, they really don't have much interest in you. I'm still married, still working, still happy.

On being the father of four girls, ranging in age from 13 months to 13 years: Stella, Gia, Isabella, and Alexia, [wife] Luciana Barroso's daughter from a previous marriage:
I jumped into the deep end with Lucy. I mean, Alexia was already 4. I was an extra dad....The only way I can describe it -- it sounds stupid, but -- at the end of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," you know how his heart grows, like, five times its size? Everything is full; it's just full all the time.

On the first Bourne movie, I was in the best shape of my life, and we purposely never did a shot of me with my shirt off. There's one scene where [Bourne's lover] is pulling the shirt over my head, but what the camera sees are the two bullet holes in my back. It's not gratuitous; there's a point to it. I try to stay away from the beefcake shots.[omg.yahoo.com]

Katherine Heigl's Family Lunch

Katherine Heigl, her musician husband Josh Kelley, and the couple's cutie pie daughter Naleigh, who turns 3 in November, looked like one happy family on Tuesday afternoon as the trio enjoyed an al fresco lunch at Little Dom's in Los Feliz, California. It's a favorite restaurant of the 32-year-old actress, who's been spotted dining there lots over the last year.

Josh and Katherine have clearly been teaching their little girl -- whom they adopted from South Korea nearly two years ago -- her table manners already, since Naleigh was noticeably well behaved at the table (no high chair required!), eating her lunch just like the grownups. Afterwards, she got back into toddler mode, and went for a ride in her stroller as her parents took a neighborhood walk.

So what was missing from the picture-perfect afternoon? Dogs! At last count Katherine -- a big animal activist who even runs her own rescue organization -- and Josh had six pooches at home. Perhaps they brought them back a doggie bag?[omg.yahoo.com]
