Kris Humphries Is Missing From People Magazine's Kim Kardashian Wedding Cover

As promised, People magazine unveiled its Kim Kardashian wedding issue this morning, but something is conspicuously absent: a picture of Kardashian's husband, Kris Humphries, on the cover.

Very bizarre, no? Also, kinda rude? After all, Humphries was an integral part of this much-hyped event, as the extremely tall groom to Kardashian's blushing bride. It's deeply uncharacteristic of Kardashian Inc., fueled by sugar-coated Svengali Kris Jenner, to leave Humphries out of the picture, given his promotional duties as the newest member of the money-making marriage machine which Jenner runs for her successful brood of reality stars. See: Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's 2009 wedding cover for OK! magazine. Sure, it features all three Kardashian sisters pictured above the emphatic headline, "MY DREAM WEDDING." But there's also Odom, standing behind his wife, as he should be. Because he is her husband. (If you care, here's a photo of Khloe and Lamar en route to a double date with Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, two days after Royal Wedding 2.0.)

People reportedly shelled out $1.5 million for exclusive rights to photos of the Kardashian-Humphries nuptials. Is the magazine getting its money's worth by cropping out the photogenic New Jersey Nets forward? (We'll have to find out once the sales figures trickle in.)

The magazine's assistant editor, Jen Garcia, seized the opportunity to defend the decision Wednesday morning, telling "Access Hollywood Live" (via The Hollywood Reporter), "We sorted through thousands of pictures." To which guest co-host Arsenio Hall replied, "... Looking for ones that didn't have Kris?"

"That's not true!" Garcia responded, adding: "It's all about the bride. We wanted her. It's her day, we wanted her on the cover. He's got a little height on her. It's kind of tough to get them in the (same) shot."

That would perhaps require some creative maneuvering, but it's not entirely impossible.[omg.yahoo.com]
