Katy Perry Helped Announce 2011 MTV VMA Nominations

The 2011 MTV VMAs(Video Music Awards) will air August 28 on MTV. And on July 20th, the nominations were officially announced by one of today’s biggest pop stars Katy Perry.

On 11:00 p.m. eastern standard time, MTV News will stop by Perry’s show(her last stop for the California Dreams tour) in Seattle so she can officially announce the nominees for this year’s VMAs. Every year, the VMAs give awards to artists and video creators for the most entertaining music videos of the last year. This year’s nominees include Perry, Adele, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Cee Lo Green, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars.After the announcements, log on to MTV.com and join the live-stream chats or start voting for your favorite videos.
